The metropolitan coastal city of Orkney Bay prides itself on its low crime rate—remarkable for a city of its size. But the city faces a different kind of challenge, one that can't be solved with handcuffs or investigations.
At the center of the controversy stands Det. Lt. Dorian Spiros, a 73-year-old Greek/American detective who has become much admired and renowned throughout the community. Yet his tenure with the department has sparked heated debate in recent months.
But Spiros has built his reputation on results, not rhetoric. Time and again, he has proven his capability to give more than what he takes—demonstrating that experience, wisdom, and instinct can't be measured by a birth certificate.
